Dear Senator Sinema,
As a Main Street business operator in Arizona, I support your opposition to the Main Street tax increases being considered by Congress.
Raising the top rate on my business from 29.6% to 46.4% is entirely unfair and will make it impossible for us to grow, higher employees, and give raises.
It also means my business will be paying a tax rate twenty percentage points higher than giant public C corporations like Amazon and Walmart. Under the bill, they pay just 26.5%!
The pandemic forced millions of private companies to close their doors, some permanently, while rising costs and worker shortages threaten our future. Now is not the time to impose a massive tax hike on Main Street.
Please continue your fight to protect Main Street businesses and jobs.
